Submission guideline
Review process
Researchers wishing to disseminate research results at the 15th AIWEST-DR 2023 must upload the abstract on the portal site provided. Each abstract abstract will go through a screening process in advance with the main criteria covering topics that are relevant to the scope of the workshop and meet quality standards. Only abstracts that have met these standards will go through a blind-review process regulated by the Technical Program Committee. Only abstracts that are accepted after the blind-review process are declared eligible to be able to register. Announcement of accepted abstracts will be presented on the workshop website and authors will be notified directly via email. Authors of abstracts that have been accepted must ensure that one of the authors can present his research directly at the workshop or as a presenter. Each presenter will be invited to write a full-paper which will later be published in a journal and or proceedings.
Submission type
We welcome submissions in the following forms:
- Abstract and Presentation – Abstract submission only, subject to peer review.
- Paper and Presentation – Abstract and full paper submission required, subject to peer review.
We encourage participants to use abstract-only submissions to share and receive feedback on early-stage research or practice and policy presentations. At least one author must register to attend the conference and present submissions (either in person or online).
Abstract submission
Submitted abstracts should provide a clear summary of the context of your study, a statement of the problem, the methods used, key results, and a conclusion. Abstracts should be written as one cohesive paragraph and should be a maximum of 500 words. Please do not include in-text citations or headings in your abstract. When constructing your abstract, please consider the following:
- LOCATE. Provide the broader context of your research or project, considering issues and debates within your discipline or field. In naming the location, state your work’s contribution, significance, and relevance outside of its specific place of origin.
- FOCUS. Identify the problem, issue, research question, or a gap in critical attention that your submission will explore, examine, and/or investigate.
- REPORT. Explain how your study or project explored or addressed the issue identified. You should describe the research methods, theoretical/analytical approach chosen, and the outcomes of the work you have completed (includes preliminary results for uncompleted projects).
- ARGUE. Explain your findings, state your analysis, theorise, or take a stance. Confirm your submission’s contribution to your discipline and the broader disaster risk reduction field. State the practical, theoretical, and research-related implications of your findings.

Papers submission
Please submit your papers through e-paper management under the same submission as your abstract. All papers will undergo peer review prior to acceptance. During submission, please upload a source file (Word) AND a pdf version of your paper (the latter is required to ensure that figures are properly represented during the typesetting of accepted papers) along with a signed Publication Rights Form (Download the Publication Right Form).
Papers submitted to the conference must be a minimum of 1,500 words (exclusive of title, keywords, abstract, and references). We recommend authors consider papers not exceeding 6,000 words (exclusive of references).

Ramayana Prambanan is a show that combines dance and drama without dialogue, based on the Ramayana story, it’s performed near Prambanan Temple on Java Island, Indonesia. Ramayana Prambanan performs since 1961.
Ramayana stories based on Hindu epics adapted to Javanese culture make Ramayana Prambanan a unique dance. More than 200 professional dancers and gamelan musicians participated in this Ramayana Ballet which took place on an open stage with Prambanan Temple as a backdrop. Ramayana Ballet is also based on the bas-relief at Shiva Temple, Prambanan.
Ramayana’s story is the journey of Rama in rescuing his wife Sita (usually called Sinta) who was kidnapped by the king of Alengka Kingdom, Rahwana. The Ramayana Prambanan Ballet is usually held every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the performances on the stage are open only in the dry season, in the rainy season the performances are held on an indoor stage Trimurti.
